From Kalamata: head south towards Aeropoli-Mani for about 50 Km, on the state road, past the villages of Kambos, Stavropigio, Kardamyli, Stoupa and Aghios Nikolaos. After the sign for Aghios Nikolaos you will see, on a right-hand bend, the Tzokeika traditional settlement. Carry on for a few more bends and you will see the Sto spiti entrance on the right. 
From Githyo, or from southern Mani: after the villages of Platsa and Pigi, you will see the sign for Sto spiti on the left.
From the Kalamata bus station there are a couple of buses a day for Aghios Nikolaos.

The main companies that run service from Venice, Ancona, Bari and Brindisi for Patras are Anek and Superfast (which merged in the summer of 2011) and Minoan.
